Hyderabad: In a major breakthrough against interstate drug trafficking, the EAGLE Force of Telangana, coordinating with Hyderabad City Police, apprehended absconding suspect Custodio Fernandes, alias Kristy, in North Goa on Sunday. The accused allegedly managed a key drug supply network operating between Goa and Hyderabad.
Investigations uncovered suspected procurement networks, digital money transfers, and delivery channels, which officers are examining to determine the full scope of illicit operations.
Financial scrutiny of accounts linked to Custodio Fernandes revealed credits totalling approximately Rs 48.4 lakh. Investigators are currently tracing transaction sources, beneficiaries, and payment channels to establish direct links with the illegal narcotics network. Furthermore, probe teams identified over 25 individuals from Telangana who allegedly purchased drugs via online transactions.
The buyers identified include Tarun, Avyakth Reddy, Sriram, Vikranth, Richu, Gokul, Vishnu, Sood, Chetan, Aravind, Hameed, Sunil, Ajay Varma, Saleeth, Parajith, Vineeth, Arjun, Eshwar, Sharana, Karan, Preetham, Tejdeep, Ravindar, Manoj, and Adhip. EAGLE Force officials confirmed that comprehensive details regarding these local consumers are being collected to initiate appropriate legal action.
