KTR urges Revanth to resolve construction delays at Sircilla JNTU
Hyderabad: BRS Working President KT Rama Rao appealed to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to resolve construction delays surrounding the permanent campus of JNTU Engineering College in Rajanna Sircilla district and ensure students technical education continues without interruption.
The BRS leader urged the state government to take immediate steps to address pressing infrastructure challenges facing students and faculty. Rama Rao noted that although the permanent campus was sanctioned in 2021 with administrative approval of Rs 402 crore and 20 acres of land were allocated in Mandepalli village, physical construction has not commenced. Consequently, the institution operates temporarily from a degree college building in Agraharam.
Expressing serious concern over proposals to shift the engineering college to another private building, Rama Rao highlighted that such relocation would create hardship for students, faculty, and administrative staff. He emphasized that existing classrooms, laboratories, and established facilities at Agraharam should be utilized effectively to avoid wastage of public resources.
Accordingly, the BRS Working President requested the government to release necessary funds for the permanent Mandepalli campus, expedite construction works, and permit the college to function from its present location until the new premises are fully operational. He urged ministers to issue directives preventing authorities from serving vacation notices until adequate alternative arrangements are finalized.
Emphasising that the engineering institution plays a pivotal role in delivering quality technical education to youth across Rajanna Sircilla district and adjoining areas, Rama Rao requested immediate intervention from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to safeguard the academic future of enrolled students.
