DGP Mahender Reddy reviews progress in businessman murder case
Hyderabad: Director General of P police M Mahendar Reddy on Sunday midnight suddenly visited the Punjagutta police station and reviewed the progress in investigation into Steel trader Ram Prasad murder case.
He interacted with the Task Force officials who are intensified their investigation along with Punjagutta police.
During searches in the incident spot at Durga nagar police found three lethal weapons.
The three unidentified assailants absconded from the spot after attacking Ram Prasad with sickles in a car.
Four teams are already searching to nab the culprits. Since financial disputes were found behind the murder and Ram Pradad's wife Vaidehi complained police suspecting her husband's partner Koganti Satyam's role behind the murder, the case took political colour.
Koganti Satyam speaking to the media inturn alleged that TDP leader Bonda Uma behind the conspiracy and by colluding with Vaidehi he targeted him since he worked for the YSR Congress Party in recent held elections.
The case took political colour with allegations and the contract killing aspect also came into light, DGP reviewed the case.
City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar and other police officials briefed the DGP on the progress of the investigation.
