Satisfy 95 pc people with service, officials told

Ongole: Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Anil Chandra Punetha ordered the district officials to improve their work so that they receive satisfactory rating of not less than 95 percent from the public.

He participated as the chief guest to the special meeting with the district officials in the collectorate on Friday and appreciated the Collector, Vadarevu Vinay Chand for leading the drought hit and backward district into development day by day.

Punetha ordered the officials to dedicatedly work according to the thoughts of chief minister and see 95 percent of the people in society were satisfied with their service. 

He ordered them to take personal responsibility to improve literacy rate in the district and see the welfare schemes by the government reach the poor people. 

He asked the education, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, women and child welfare, DRDA, MEPMA, BC, SC Corporations, tribal welfare, ITDA and other department officials to see the downtrodden utilize the schemes by the government and develop their living standards using them.

The Collector, Vinay Chand explained to the chief secretary that the district is facing tough time to get water for irrigation and drinking needs and said that Rs 2 crore more funds are required to supply water through tankers. 

He requested the CS to release Rs 25 crore to pay the due wages to the MGNREGS workers. 

He informed Punetha that the district needs 40000 metric tons of silage grass, 10000 tons of concentrated silage grass for fodder needs in coming six months.

SP BS Yesubabu, Joint Collector S Nagalakshmi, additional SP Lavanya, trainee Collector Nishanthi, and othe district HoDs of all departments also participated in the meeting with the chief secretary.
