90 percent cyclone victims should satisfy

Srikakulam: Total 90 percent of the cyclone victims should satisfy and involve restoration works with dedication and humanity, CM N.Chandrababu naidu directed officials at Palasa on Sunday before leaving to Vijayawada. 

He announced compensation package for crop loss and other damages as Rs 20,000 for loss of paddy crop in one hectare previously it was Rs 10,000. For cashew Rs 25,000 earlier it was Rs 20,000. 

For loss of each coconut tree Rs 1200 from previous amount Rs 1000. For maintenance cost for three years for cashew and coconut crops for one hectare Rs 40,000 and insurance will be paid separately.

CM suggested farmers and officials to encourage internal crops in coconut fields to recover loss. Rs 2 lakh to be paid for fishermen as compensation for loss of boats and another Rs 1 lakh as subsidy, Rs 6 lakh for full damage of mechanised boats, Rs 10,000 for loss of nets.

For loss of aquaculture for per hectare Rs 30,000 previously it was Rs 8000. For death of cows and she buffaloes Rs 30,000 for cattle sheds Rs 1 to 2 lakh basing on number of animals.

CM directed officials to restore normalcy by Tuesday and said that planning to install improvised power lines in coastal areas to prevent cyclone damages. 

He directed officials not to neglect operations and provide essential to victims on quick pace and maintain sanitation to prevent diseases.
