TS Govt keen on welfare of fishers; Says Muta Gopal

Musheerabad: Muta Gopal, the local MLA, said that the Telangana government was committed ti the welfare of Gangaputra community. He was speaking at a programme to release 2020 calendar of Mahatma Nagar Gangaputra association at Mahatma Nagar of Bholakpur division on Sunday.

Addressing fishermen, he described himself as a voice of Gangaputra community as he was the sole MLA in the state representing the community. He said he would strive for the welfare of the community as the CM had given him ticket to represent the community.

Praising various measures taken by the state government for welfare of fishermen, he said the state government had given fishermen full rights over village tanks to protect fishermen. The government had been providing free fishlings to be dropped in various village tanks after filling tanks with water as part of Mission Kakatiya, he said. The MLA promised fishermen to build a modern fish market shortly.

Representatives of the community requested the MLA to help them in building a community hall for the community. Responding to their request, the MLA assured them to strive for it after discussing with officials concerned. Among those who attended the program include TRS leaders MutaJaisimha, M Prabhakar, community leaders P Ramulu, BijjiKanakesh Kumar, Devendra, Narsing Rao, Raju, Shiva Kumar, Sanjay, Gopal, Satyanarayana, Lakshminarayana and others.
