Good times ahead for library employees: MLA Muta Gopal

Chikkadpally: NGOs' central forum of Telangana State District Library Associations, organized sixth state conference, here at City Central Library on Friday. Muta Gopal, Musheerabad MLA, was invited as chief guest of the program. Former chairman of legislative council Swamy Goud, chairman of Granthalaya Parishad Ayachitam Sridhar, TNGO president Karam Ravinder, city TNGO secretary Rajender, city library chairperson Ram Murthy and others attended the program. The association's New Year calendar was also released on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Muta Gopal said that state government employees may soon get pay revision and chief minister may also decide on increasing the age of retirement for government employees. The MLA assured the district library employees that he would try for depositing their salaries through zero one zero and similarly work for resolution of other issues such as giving health cards, resolving problems of outsourcing library employees.

Former chairman of legislative council Swamy Goud stressed on the need for issuing recruitment notification as thousands of youth have been coming to libraries as part of their preparation for competitive exams. He lamented that delay in issue of notifications due to court cases.

Unemployed youth met the MLA on the occasion and submitted a memorandum requesting him to speak in assembly sessions on the need for issue of recruitment notifications.

Gandhinagar corporator Muta Padma Naresh, secretary of City Central Library Padmaja, president of district library association central forum Devender, secretary Ayodhya, Venugopalacharyulu, M Narsimha Reddy, Mahender, Vara Prasad, Veda Kala, Nageshwar Rao, and employees of district library associations participated in the program.
