Give jobs to displaced persons, Collector asks Kia Motors officials
Anantapur: District Collector S Sathyanarayana asked the Kia Motors management to give jobs to all the 600 odd displaced persons.
Addressing a review meeting with the Kia representatives at his chambers here on Friday, the Collector regretted that the Kia management has not completed its commitment so far. He asked them to release a fact sheet on how many jobs it has given so far.
He revealed that the state government had been seeking information on the progress made so far. He advised the Kia management to accord training in skills upgradation and give jobs on the basis of their qualification.
Sathyanarayana said that letters will be issued by the Penukonda tahsildar or the sub-collector concerned and based on that jobs should be given. He said that giving jobs to the displaced is mandatory. Industries General Manager Sudarshan Babu stated that he made similar requests by mail to the management, but it was not even acknowledged.
