CM Revanth Reddy Highlights Focus on Dalit and Tribal Welfare

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that the government is working with the specific goal of uplifting Dalits and Adivasis (tribal communities). He remarked that they still cherish the memory of 'Indiramma,' who showed them affection like a mother. Speaking at a meeting regarding the implementation of the SC/ST Atrocities (Prevention) Act at the Secretariat on Tuesday, the CM lauded Indira Gandhi for the achievement of distributing assigned land titles (*pattas*) covering 25 lakh acres. He affirmed that the current government operates inspired by her vision and is working with genuine commitment for these communities. He further observed that the percentage of Dalits in 'Indiramma' housing scheme beneficiaries is 31 percent, whereas 17 percent of such housing is sanctioned for the ST category.

The CM stated that breakfast is being provided to 27.50 lakh children, starting from nursery to class 12 students. He further informed that high-quality rice (*sanna biyyam*) is being distributed among 3.48 crore people in the state, which enables the preparation of nutritious food among Dalits and tribals.

He stated that welfare schemes are being implemented with a focus on Dalits and Adivasis. Addressing incidents of atrocities, he said the government responds with a humanitarian perspective and directed officials to release compensation to victims through a 'green channel,' delinking it from budgetary constraints.

Emphasising that education alone transforms lives, he remarked that the underlying issues cannot be resolved unless marginalized communities are guided towards education. "Encourage children to pursue education and sports. Let us work towards the development of these communities, rising above politics." "This government belongs to you; it works for you," stated CM Revanth Reddy.
