Peddapalli: State Chief Election Officer Rajat Kumar ordered the district officials to make tight security arrangements at the counting centres as counting of votes will be held on Tuesday (Tomorrow) at various counting centres identified across the State. He held a video conference with the Collectors of all districts from Hyderabad on Monday.
Rajat Kumar told the district collectors and other officials to make elaborate arrangements at the counting centres for the smooth conduct of counting process and ordered them strictly not to allow anyone without prior permission from the concern authorities. They were also told to impose 144 section in the surrounding areas along with deploying additional forces in identified risk prone areas.
Except Election Observers, no one is allowed to carry mobiles into the counting centres. After completion of every round of counting, the information should be passed on to the media representatives present at the counting centres, without giving scope for any irregularities as per the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India.
“After counting the votes in every EVM, check the poll slips in the VV Pats and display the same to the agents of political parties present at the table and should note the same in the register and take the signature of the agents.”
District Collector Devasena, Joint Collector Vanaja Devi, Peddapalli Returning Officer Upendar Reddy, Manthani Returning Officer K Nagesh and Ramagundam Returning Officer Narasimha Murthy and other officials were present during the video conference.
