Ailamma’s fighting spirit an inspiration for today’s generation

Hanumakonda: MLAs Naini Rajender Reddy, Revuri Prakash Reddy and K.R. Nagaraju said Chakali Ailamma’s courageous fight for land rights, self-respect and social justice continues to inspire generations. They called for taking forward her ideals as the true tribute to her legacy.

The leaders paid floral tributes to Ailamma’s statue at New Shayampet Junction in Hanumakonda on Saturday on the occasion of her 131st birth anniversary. Hanumakonda Collector Chahat Bajpai, Warangal Collector Dr. Satya Sarada and other public representatives, officials and community leaders also participated.

Speaking on the occasion, Naini Rajender Reddy said Ailamma’s resistance against feudal oppression and exploitation earned her a significant place in Telangana’s history. He stressed the need to educate younger generations about her struggle for the rights of weaker sections. Revuri Prakash Reddy said Ailamma’s fight against injustice strengthened confidence among the poor and oppressed and inspired women to assert their rights.

K.R. Nagaraju said her courage and self-respect remain an example for today’s youth. He urged society to promote women’s empowerment, equality and social justice.
