Tirupati: Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Chairman A Ravi Naidu said teachers recruited under sports quota were ready to produce their certificates, medals and sporting records to counter allegations regarding the DSC recruitment process.
Addressing a media conference at Tirupati Press Club on Thursday, Ravi Naidu said around 370 teachers had expressed willingness to present documentary evidence and clarify doubts about their qualifications and sports achievements. He questioned allegations against individual teachers, including claims that their certificates were not genuine, and said such charges should be supported by evidence.
He also alleged that teachers faced harassment following the controversy and said some had approached SAAP office peacefully to submit a representation.
According to him, incidents occurred during the gathering and some teachers were subjected to inappropriate behaviour.
He said the government would support teachers and assured that action would be taken against those responsible for any misconduct or attacks.
