Jeevakona to be developed as a safe and model colony: SP Subba Rayudu

Tirupati: District Superintendent of Police L Subba Rayudu stated that Jeevakona will be systematically developed into a peaceful, safe, and model colony through the collaborative efforts of local residents and law enforcement.

Speaking at a community awareness meeting organized under the Alipiri police station limits as part of Operation Trishul, the SP noted that Jeevakona had previously earned a troubled reputation due to frequent clashes and anti-social elements.

However, he highlighted that crime rates have dropped considerably thanks to sustained police surveillance, prompt interventions, and positive behavioral shifts among residents.

Encouraging proactive civic engagement, the SP appealed to the public to report crimes or suspicious activities immediately, assuring absolute confidentiality for all informants.

Turning to road safety, he flagged overspeeding, traffic violations, and drunk driving as major causes of accidents, warning two-wheeler riders that helmet compliance is mandatory and violations will attract strict penal action.

Furthermore, the SP declared that special measures are underway to eradicate the supply and consumption of ganja and other narcotics, urging parents and students to help protect youth from substance abuse.
