Chief Whip of Oppn flays govt; accuses it of misleading SC
In Short
He declared on Friday that he strongly condemns the Congress government for allegedly deliberately providing factually incorrect information about ADGP Alok Kumar to the Supreme Court through its Senior Counsel Kapil Sibal.

Bengaluru: N Ravi Kumar, Chief Whip of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, issued a statement lambasting the Congress government. He claimed that with hate and distrust innate against ADGP Alok Kumar, the Congress government deliberately provided factually incorrect information to the Supreme Court.
He declared on Friday that he strongly condemns the Congress government for allegedly deliberately providing factually incorrect information about ADGP Alok Kumar to the Supreme Court through its Senior Counsel Kapil Sibal.
Ravi Kumar continued by stating that the Congress government has something to hide and somebody to shield in the KPSC Veterinary Officers recruitment scam. “Alok Kumar is an officer known for his integrity and professional ethics. Many skeletons may roll out of the Congress’ scandalous cupboard. This is the reason the state government has challenged the High Court verdict directing the state government to constitute SIT headed by Alok Kumar,” he said.
He identified the origin of the factually incorrect information on Alok Kumar as the Home Department presided over by Priyank Kharge. He added that if that is true, then he urges Kharge Jr. to focus and concentrate on the functioning of his Department rather than wasting his time and energy on RSS.
Further remarks from Ravi Kumar held that in his view the state government ought not to have gone to the Supreme Court challenging the High Court verdict on the issue constituting SIT headed by Alok Kumar.
“It was wrong on the part of the state government to have gone to the Apex Court. And it was a blunder on the part of the state government to have provided factually incorrect information,” he concluded.
