Anantapur: JNTUA Civil Engineering Professor and R&D Director Dr Vaishali G Ghorpade has been selected for the prestigious “Distinguished Woman Engineer Award 2026” by the Institution of Engineers (India), AP State Centre, ahead of the 59th Engineers’ Day. Renowned for her research in Structural Engineering, sustainable concrete, and 70+ publications, Dr Ghorpade holds patents for self-healing bacterial concrete.
She previously won the AP State Best Teacher Award 2024 and ISTE Best Civil Engineer Award. JNTUA Vice-Chancellor Prof H Sudarsana Rao and university fraternity congratulated Dr Ghorpade on this stellar state-level recognition.
