KBC 11: Do you know the answer to this Rs 7 crore question that outplayed Gautam Kumar Jha?
Check out the Rs 7 crore question that Gautam Kumar Jha was unable to answer.
Gautam Kumar Jha from Bihar has become the third contestant to win Rs 1 crore on Kaun Banega Crorepati 11 this year. He chose to quit the game when he was asked the Rs 7 crore question.
He answered the Rs 1 crore question: "Aboard which made-in-India ship did Francis Scott Key write the poem 'Defence of Fort M'Henry' that became the US national anthem?" Gautam picked up the right answer: 'HMS Minden'. Telling Amitabh how he knew the correct answer, Gautam said: "I always read about general knowledge, and I believe that if you read more than your syllabus during college or school days, you will retain a lot, which will help you at times like this."
The last question that made him exit the game was:
Q) What was the name of all the three soccer clubs set up with the help of Mahatama Gandhi in the early 20th century at Durban, Pretoria and Johannesburg?
The options were:
a) Truth Seekers b) Non–Violents c) Passive Resisters d) Non co-operators.
Gautam decided to quit the game as he was not sure and confused about the answer. After leaving when he was asked to take a guess, Gautam chose Truth Seeker as the answer, which was incorrect. The correct answer was Passive Resisters.
Gautam from Madhubani in Bihar is a senior section engineer with the Indian Railways. At present, he is posted in Adra, West Bengal. He completed his M Tech from ISM Dhanbad and has worked as a bank manager with Canara Bank before he got into railways.
This year KBC got two crorepatis before Gautam -- Babita Taide from Maharashtra and Sanoj Raj from Bihar. Sanoj, an IAS aspirant, quit after winning Rs 1 crore as he wasn't sure of the Rs 7 crore question answer. The guess he made turned out to be right. Babita Taide, a mid-day meal cook, also won Rs 1 crore.
