Will revive Nizam Sugars,Rayons soon: Malla Reddy
Hyderabad: Labour and Employment Minister Ch Malla Reddy on Friday said that Nizam Sugars and Rayons factories would be reopened soon as government has taken steps for their revival.
The minister was replying to the discussion on the demands of his department in Assembly. The minister said skill development centres have been established to train the youngsters to secure jobs.
He informed that 700 job melas have been held and about 12,800 have been provided with employment through them. Malla Reddy has said that agreements have been made with prestigious companies to give jobs to the youngsters being trained by the Labour department.
He stated that through TOMCOM youngsters, who want to get jobs in foreign countries have been trained. He said that Digital Employment Exchange of Telangana (DEET) was established for improving the job opportunities.
He informed that the number of industrial disputes were brought down drastically in the State. He said that there were no lock outs and no strikes in Telangana and the State government established employment exchanges in 16 districts.
But the Congress demanded that the minister should clarify on the issue of dependent employment in Singareni Collieries. CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that no one was provided with jobs under the scheme. The TRS has announced to give dependent jobs to the heirs of miners of Singareni, he said.
