Arrangements apace for panchayat polls

Vikarabad: Collector Syed Umar Jaleel directed the officials to appoint polling staff and commence training immediately for the upcoming Panchayat elections. He held a meeting with Mandal Parishad Development Officers (MPDOs) of all mandals in the district here on Wednesday. 

Speaking on the occasion, the collector said Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and panchayat secretaries should prepare voter list correctly, so that no vote would miss out. He told them to ready ballot boxes that have not been used since a long time. “Complete the appointment of a presiding officer, APO for each polling booth before December 22, start the training from December 27 and complete the process by December 31,” the collector said.
