Training conducted on counting of votes
Vikarabad: A training camp was conducted for the counting of votes at Mary A Knotts School here on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector Syed Umar Jaleel said the seal on the EVMs should be removed in the presence of polling agents. Signature of the agents must be collected and VVPATs should be kept carefully after the counting, he said. “All should reach the venue before 6 am and mobile phones are not allowed inside.
They should be deposited before commencing your work. Postal votes should be counted first,” the Collector instructed. Sadasiva Prabhu, the poll observer deputed by the Central Election Commission for the counting of Kodangal segment, said that the elections reached the final phase and all should follow the regulations of the Commission. Later, Umar Jaleel and Sadasiva Prabhu visited agriculture market warehouse, where the arrangements for the counting had been made. They instructed the staff and security personnel about the Tuesday’s counting process. Returning officers of Kodangal, Vikarabad, Parigi, Tandur constituencies Arunakumari, Mothilala, Vishwanatham, Venumadhav, OSD for elections Suresh Poddar were also present.
