Woman travels 900 km to nab cyberstalker
Unable to bear the harassment of a cyberstalker, a 19-year-old woman nabbed the accused travelling all along from New Delhi to Madhya Pradesh along with her husband.
The accused, Hussain, a resident of Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh created fake Facebook profiles of the woman who is reported to be a local singer and model. He did not leave there, Hussain also circulated her pictures on Whatsapp groups. Though the raised many complaints with the cybercrime police in New Delhi and other police station, no action was taken by the police, it is reported.
The harassment was intensified when the accused threatened to throw acid on her. The woman then decided to catch hold of the accused on her own.
She then called up the accused to delete her pictures who in turn demanded to spend two days with him in Bengaluru. To nab the accused and hand over to the police, the woman accepted his deal. However, she again called him pretending to be ill and asked him to come to Khandwa where the police arrested him. However, he came out of the police station on bail in an hour and made threatening calls to her.
Based on the woman's complaint, the police arrested him again and shifted him to Delhi police station.
According to the woman, the accused was a family friend of her who used to come to her house. He then targetted the woman when she turned down his marriage proposal and married another man.
