Neredmet: The cybercrime sleuths of Rachakonda on Tuesday nabbed a cyber stalker named M Nagaraju (25), an employee at a private hospital, for indulging in sexual harassment in an electronic form by stalking.

He was making calls and sending abusive text messages to the complainant through WhatsApp and defaming her character in the society. According to the police, the accused and the complainant were former classmates.

Nagaraju came in contact with the complainant's friend, who was staying in a neighbouring hostel. He used to talk to them over phone and even could get their photos on his mobile.

He misunderstood their closeness and about three months ago he proposed to the complainant's friend, but she bluntly rejected his proposal. Later the accused also proposed to the complainant. She too spurned him.

Later, he started contacting them over phone daily during late night hours with abusive words. As they were not responding for his love proposals, he bore grudge on them and uploaded their joint pictures in his WhatsApp status with derogatory caption.

Noticing the same, the complainant called him and questioned about his acts, on which he threatened them to marry him, if not he will see their end. After receiving the complaint, Police registered a case under section 506, 354 (D) IPC and Section 67 of IT Act and traced the accused at Shivarampally and is being produced before the court.
