Moula Ali Kaman residents seek bus facility
Moula Ali: The Moula Ali Kaman is the bright spot in the area and has a high place in the people’s hearts. It is the pride of Moula Ali, but the very Kaman has now become an obstacle of sorts rue locals.
Eight years ago, a lorry crashed into the Kaman and the R & B department in association with the Department of State Archeology repaired the structure with the help of a conservation architect. Soon after the Kaman was restored, again a vehicle rammed into it causing damage. As a result, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) diverted bus routes fearing damage to the kaman. Only two-wheelers, cars and autos are allowed. With plying of buses and mini-buses totally stopped, the residents have to walk at least two km to take RTC buses for reaching their destinations. This walking is causing hardship to elderly and sick persons.
Residents near the Moula Ali Kaman, including employees, students and traders, face a daily ordeal in availing RTC bus. Many walk all the way to Zonal Training School bus stop to catch a bus. Keeping this in view, the residents have been appealing to RTC officials to launch bus facility from Moulali Kaman itself, as students, after walking two km, tend to get tired. Speaking to The Hans India, they expressed anguish that local MP or MLA or corporator has been ignoring their transportation problem. They allege that their repeated complaints, besides protests at Moulali Kaman, to officials and people’s representatives have fallen on deaf ears.
Babita, Pinki, Manjula, all students say that the lack of bus service is affecting them a lot as they have to walk distances. Vinod Yadav, Anjayya, Vamsi, Ramchandar, Mohan Yadav, Suri, Neeraj said they have to face daily problems in reaching the bus stops. They have appealed to officials to solve their transport problems.
