People advised against buying house-sites in unauthorised lay-outs
Tandur: Joint Collector Aruna Kumari on Monday advised people against purchasing house sites in unauthorized lay-outs as some unscrupulous traders are hoodwinking the people. While receiving representations from people as part of the Prajavaani, she said some real estate dealers were securing panchayat permission and applying for permission to the RDO and in the pendency of the application are disposing of the house-sites to the gullible public with their glib talk.
She clarified that mere applying for permission would not mean RDO granting permission to the same. To convert agricultural land into non-agricultural land, the area of the plot size should be at least one acre, otherwise it is not possible, she clarified. She said that new voters can enroll their names in the voters’ list till January 1. A polling booth is going to be set up for every 1100 voters. DRDA project director John Wesley, RDO Venu Madhav, MRO Ramuloo and others took part in the programme. She asked the authorities to serve a memo on MPDO of Tandur who abstained himself from taking part in the Prajaavaani.
