Awareness drive on night time brushing held in Bhimavaram
Bhimavaram: Westberry School has successfully organised a three-week night time brushing awareness programme which concluded on Saturday.
As part of the programme, the students were taught about the advantages of night time brushing before going to bed.
The programme began on February 10. In order to encourage children, the college management announced weekly gifts to the students. While smiley stick was presented on the first week, price crown and hot wheel toys were presented on subsequent weeks.
During all the three weeks, three dentists visited the school to bring awareness on children on how to protect teeth. Dr Pawan Kumar of Ethos Dental Hospital, Dr Rajasekhar of Raj Dental Hospital and Dr Supraja of Care Dental Hospital addressed the students on three occasions to inculcate the habit of night time brushing.
Dr Srinivasaraju, head of Care Dental Hospital distributed toys to students on the concluding day of the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, the school director Mahesh Kumar said that the students had showed immense interest in the programme and developed the habit of night time brushing.
Even their parents also influenced by their new habit, he announced amid applause from audience.
