Skating rink facility started at Westberry in Bhimavaram
Bhimavaram: A 100 metres skating rink facility to help students preparing for national and international skating competitions started at Westberry School here.
According to the school principal, G Sunitha, the skating rink was built in conformity with CBSE guidelines and with the cooperation of parents. As the skating rink was constructed outside the school, all those aspiring for skating competitions can get training here apart from the school students.
The school director, Mahesh Kumar said that the skating rink is the second biggest in our state. Besides skating, the players can practice roller hockey here.
Pawan Bhargav Honda proprietor D Suresh who monitored the construction of the rink, wished that many students should train from the town and participate in national and international skating events.
He announced training of new batch from this summer. Coach Ch Krishna would train the students, he added.
