Moderate rain forecast in AP state

Hyderabad: Heavy rain occurred at isolated places in Krishna district during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Thursday, after the Southwest Monsoon turned normal in coastal Andhra Pradesh and weak in Rayalaseema. Rain occurred at a few places in the coastal districts and at isolated places in Rayalaseema, the Met department bulletin said.

The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) in the state were: Gudivada (Krishna) 7, Koyyalagudem (West Godavari), Vijayawada Airport (Krishna) 6 each, Ichchapuram (Srikakulam), Bhimavaram, Maruteru (both in WG) 4 each, Narsapuram, Palakoderu, Eluru (all in WG) 3, Kaikalur (Krishna), Chintalapudi (WG) , Mangalagiri (Guntur),  Tanuku ( WG), Srikalahasti (Chittoor) 3 each.
