Light to moderate rain likely from Aug 1 to 4
Medak: As the southwest monsoon turned weak over Telangana, rain occurred at a few places during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Wednesday.
According to the Met department bulletin, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places across the State from August 1 to 4. No large change during the period August 5-7 is the weather outlook.
The rain is being attributed to the persisting low pressure area over the central parts of north Madhya Pradesh and its neighbourhood. The bulletin said the associated upper air cyclonic circulation now extends up to 4.5 km above the mean sea level.
Another upper air cyclonic circulation lies over south Odisha and its adjoining north coastal Andhra Pradesh. A fresh low pressure area is likely to form over the north-east Bay of Bengal and its neighbourhood around August 4, according to the bulletin.
