JNTU students joyous as Art 370 scrapped
Kukatpally: Jubilant students of the JNTU here celebrated the scrapping of Articles 370 and 35(A) by the Centre on Monday by distributing sweets. A festive atmosphere prevailed on the university campus premises.
Speaking to The Hans India, some students said that following the changes made, Jammu & Kashmir would develop along with other States in India. They expressed the hope and confidence that the Indian tricolor flag would be hoisted without any fear now in the State, where trouble-makers hoist the Pakistan flag during agitations.
The students thanked Union Home Minister Amit Shah and President Ramnath Kovind for issuing orders ushering in changes in the border State. They asserted that the changes would firmly send a message that we are one and that there was no scope for 'do vidhan', 'do pradhan'. "J&K is an integral part of the country and would remain so," they added.
The students also thanked the Centre for making clear that such slogans would not be tolerated.
Among those who participated in the celebrations were Chintakunta Saikumar, K Akhil, Jessica, Santosh, Soniha,Omith, Shiva, Naresh. They reiterated their resolve to be in service of 'Bharatmata'.
