The government has taken all the steps to start JNTU Engineering College classes  in Narasaraopet from this academic year. Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao took an initiative to allot land for the construction of the engineering college.

The government has taken all the steps to start JNTU Engineering College classes in Narasaraopet from this academic year. Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao took an initiative to allot land for the construction of the engineering college.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu assured that he would sanction JNTU Engineering college for Narasaraopet. Following the request of the Speaker, the government directed JNTU to start engineering college in Narasaraopet. Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao along with a team of officials visited the site. Following his instructions, the officials are making arrangements to start the classes from this academic year in private buildings.

The officials are searching for suitable private buildings to start classes and provide hostel facility to the students. Following recommendations of the Assembly Speaker Dr.Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, the government decided to construct engineering college near Kakani near Narasaraopet.

First, the engineering college will start with five branches with combinations like ECE,EEE, mechanical engineering and other branches. Narasaraopet RDO V Ravidra said, “We have sent the proposal to the government to allot 86 acres of land to set up engineering college at Kakani near Narasaraopet town.”
