Supply of inferior quality seeds flayed AP Rythu Sangham

Eluru: Andhra Pradesh Rythu Sangham has alleged that the government is supplying inferior quality seeds to the farmers. Leaders of the sangham submitted a memorandum in this connection to agriculture Joint Director Gousia Begum.
The sangham leaders alleged that only 65-70 per cent seeds were sprouting. The farmers are facing problems because of non-availability of seeds they needed. The farmers are in dire need of 1,061 variety of seeds. On the other hand, millers were not purchasing paddy of 1,075, 1,153 and 1,156 varieties. The agriculture department officials should guide the farmers which seeds they prefer this season.
