MP N Reddappa assures to develop Kuppam constituency

Chittoor: MP N Reddappa alleged that there was no significant development in Kuppam Assembly constituency during TDP government though it was represented by N Chandrababu Naidu for about four decades. The former chief minister could not resolve drinking water shortage problem in the constituency, the MP said.

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has given clear instructions to develop Kuppam Assembly constituency on par with other segments in the district, Reddappa added. District Collector N B Guptha has organised ``Spandana programme'' at Tambiganipalli Agricultural Market Yard in Kuppam mandal on Saturday in which Chittoor M P N Reddappa participated as chief guest .

Addressing media persons at Kuppam on Saturday, said , `` We have received a number of representations from various sections. There is an immediate need to resolve drinking water problem in Kuppam, Gudipalli and Santhipuram mandals .

District Collector has given instructions to the RWS authorities to resume supply of water through hired tankers with immediate effect " he said. He assured that YSRCP government would take effective steps for diverting water from HNSS canal to Kuppam.

He reiterated that the voters of Kuppam constituency would teach a lesson to former chief minister in the next elections . Earlier District Collector N B Guptha received representations in the Spandana programme. Madanapalli Sub-Collector Chekuri Keerthi and others were present.
