Andhra Pradesh: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has warned that stern action will be taken if false records are created and lands are looted. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday inaugurated the YSR Jagananna Saswatha Bhoo Hakku-Bhoo Raksha scheme on Monday at Thakkellapadu in the Jaggaiahpet Mandal. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that a land resurvey will be maintained with 16 thousand surveyors. All the surveyors were trained with the latest technology under the auspices of the Survey of India.

YS Jagan emphasised on the need of protection from land disputes, creating brokers, bullies. "I heard the plight of many victims on the padayatra and conducting a comprehensive land survey again after about a hundred years, " CM said. He said that the land rights-land protection scheme is meant to change this situation of misappropriation of records and ensure that no one can change the titles and to provide the ownership with a government-guaranteed land title deed which will bring about revolutionary changes that will make registrations in the villages themselves.

He said that the government has already made a land resurvey in Thakkellapadam under the pilot project and the cost of the land resurvey is borne by the government by laying survey stones. The CM said that each land will be given an ID number after noting the Latitude and longitudes with drone. He said that the land survey will be completed by 2023.

The chief minister further added that Andhra Pradesh stands as an ideal for the country and made clear that the re-survey will begin in all districts across the state from the 22nd of this month. A comprehensive land survey will be conducted on 1.26 crore hectares in three instalments. "In the first phase, the land reserve will be started in 5,000 villages. In the second phase, 6,500 villages and in the third phase, 5,500 villages will be land reserved," CM said.
