300 saplings planted at RSVP
Tirupati: The third phase of planting of saplings on a large scale at Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (RSVP) commenced on Sunday. The Vice-Chancellor Prof V Muralidhara Sharma inaugurated the programme and addressed the students.
He said that thick vegetation testifies for the presence of human existence on the earth. He explained about the trees which collect carbon dioxide and will be releasing oxygen needed for mankind. The suitable climate in the college premises has been prompting various people from all walks of life take a stroll in the there. Around 300 types of saplings including the likes of bilva, palasa and anjoor have been planted.
The programme was also attended by RSVP Registrar Prof GSR Krishna Murthy, Hostel Wardens Dr Radha Govinda Tripathi, Dr Bali Chakravati, Dr Sachindananda Murthy, Dr Chandulal, Dr Vijayalakshmi, Physical Education Teachers Dr Girikumar, around 200 members of Bachelor of Education course studying students and others.
