Tirupati: Mega blood donation camp organised at RSVP

Tirupati: The NSS wing of Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (RSVP) organised a mega blood donation camp on Saturday. It was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor Prof V Muralidhara Sharma. Speaking on the occasion, he lauded the activities of NSS wing. NSS started blood donation camp five years ago in the campus and has been running the camp successfully since then.

The V-C reminded that various Yoga camps are continuously being run for the benefit of people and many chronic diseases are being treated through such camps. He also thanked the authorities and doctors of SVIMS who have been rendering their services in the programme.

The donors of the camp who are mainly the students of the RSVP have dedicated it to the slain soldiers in the terrorist attack at Pulwama which claimed the lives of 48 soldiers. In charge of Blood Bank at SVIMS Dr Sridhar Babu was present on the occasion. Deans Prof MLN Murthy, Prof PR Joshi, NSS Programme Officers Dr R Chandrasekhar, Dr PTGY Ranga, Dr OGP Kalyana Sastry, Dr Chandulal, Dr Leena, Dr Y Vijayalakshmi, Health Centre staff of RSVP and others participated in the Blood Donation Camp.
