2 school buses seized for violating safety regulations

Guntur: Transport Department officials on Tuesday seized two school buses for violating the vehicle fitness norms and booked cases against four school buses on Tuesday in Guntur city. As soon as the schools reopened the officials started checking the vehicles to verify whether the buses having vehicle fitness certificates or not.

If the vehicle is not having vehicles fitness certificates, they seized the buses. According to officials, they seized 124 buses. Deputy Transport Commissioner G C Rajaratnam said they will continue vehicle checking and book cases against the school or college buses not having vehicle fitness certificates.
