Hyderabad: The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana has organized a walk on Sundayat People's Plaza, Necklace Road, Hyderabad to spread awareness about the various measures initiated to ensure inclusion of persons with disabilities in the electoral process and fulfil the Election Commission of India's motto, "No Voter To Be Left Behind". The walk is also aimed at motivating persons with disabilities to come forward and exercise their franchise.

Government officials led by Chief Electoral Officer Dr Rajat Kumar, Additional CEO Budha Prakash, GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore, Police Commissioners Anjani Kumar (Hyderabad), Mahesh Bhagwat (Rachakonda) and V.C Sajjanar (Cyberabad), GHMC Commissioner M. Dana Kishore and other officials will participate in the walk. Other participants include eminent personalities from various fields, persons with disabilities along with activists and non-governmental organizations engaged in empowering persons with disabilities.

This awareness exercise is among a slew of other initiatives planned by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer to achieve the Election Commission of India's mission of making elections accessible to all — 'Accessible Elections'.
