Temple lands taken over by endowment department

Vikarabad: The lands of Sri Sanjeeva Swamy temple at Donga Anakapalle were taken over by the Endowment Department. The assistant commissioner KN Sandhya Rani said that 81 acres and 17 kuntas land was taken into possession and warning boards were erected in the fields. Shea also said that the lands will be auctioned openly for tenant farmers.

It is to be recollected that recently the village sarpanch J Ashok Reddy wrote a letter to the assistant commissioner regarding the dilapidated condition of the temple. Responding to the plea, the assistant commissioner initiated the action. The assistant commissioner said proposals would be sent for the development of the ancient temple through Common Good Fund.
