Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav on Friday said the issues which have an impact on the country's politics
Hyderabad: Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav on Friday said the issues which have an impact on the country's politics were the main reason for the defeat of his son T Sai Kiran Yadav in Secunderabad.
Srinivas Yadav congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and YSRCP leader Y S Jagan for the victory.
He also congratulated BJP leader Kishan Reddy and said the party leaders would not get discouraged with the loss and would continue to work with responsibility in future.
He justified the candidature of Sai Kiran stating that the party gave ticket to his son with the intention of encouraging youth in politics.
"We got good response from the people during the campaign. There was no negativity to tell but the issues which have impact on the country's politics were the main reasons for defeat otherwise all sections of people were happy with the welfare activities of the government.
We will take support of all in taking forward the welfare schemes," Srinivas Yadav said.
Yadav said that the leaders who have won were talking too much and added that the TRS leaders would work for the next five years and strive for solving the public issues.
None of the BJP leaders had confidence of winning the seat after the elections, he added. He said that the leaders would visit the Secunderabad Lok Sabha segment on Saturday and Sunday and meet the party cadre.
Yadav said that though there was Modi wave in the country, TRS could win nine seats in the State. The party will respect the people's mandate, he added.
Thanking TRS chief and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for giving ticket, Sai Kiran Yadav said that he would go to the people and work with them.
"The leaders have worked for me in the elections. I will strive to become good leader with the support of the party leaders," Sai Kiran said.
