Hyderabad: The Kaloji Narayana Rao University for Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has issued notification for the final round (mop-up) of counselling for management quota MBBS seats in private and minority medical colleges.

The counselling would be held on August 28 at Prof Ram Reddy Centre for Distance Education, Osmania University premises.

Kaloji explained that candidates would be permitted into counselling hall subject to availability of MBBS seats. Notification for online counselling does not mean allotment of seats as more candidates have registered online than the available number of seats.

It may be mentioned here that varsity filled B and C or NRI category seats in private and minority medical colleges in two phases earlier and the mop-up round is to fill leftover seats that fell vacant with students leaving the seat in private college in case they get convener quota seat or seat in a preferred colleges in the sliding process.

Authorities stated that vacant position of seats would be displayed on the varsity website before counselling. Candidates who were allotted a seat in the previous phases of counselling and have not joined or discontinued the course after joining in the previous phases of counselling are not eligible for mop-up round of counselling.

Candidates who have joined in All India quota counselling are also not eligible for mop-up round of counselling, authorities said.
