Khammam: On day 7, striking staff submit pleas to donkeys

Khammam: On the seventh day of RTC workers strike on Friday, the Joint Action Committee leaders and workers staged innovative protest programmes in Khammam and Kothagudem districts. In Kothagudem, the agitating workers submitted a memorandum to the donkeys and stated that as the government was not responding to their demands, they submitted their list of demands to the donkeys. Similarly, in Bhadrachalam depot, RTC employees and JAC leaders staged a protest on the steps of Lord Rama temple.

They prayed to the Lord urging him to change of mind of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao towards the strike, and later submitted a memorandum to the priests of the temple. In Khammam headquarters, the CPI (ML) conducted a massive rally in support of RTC strike. The rally was led by party leader Potu Ranga Rao and others.

Meanwhile, the RTC officers said nearly 82 percent buses were run on various routes with the help of temporary staff in both Bhadradri-Kothagudem and Khammam districts.
