Hyderabad: Health Minister Eatala Rajender on Friday stated that enquiry panel that was constituted to look into rules violation in clinical trials at Niloufer Hospital has submitted its report already. He said that there were no irregularities as was highlighted.
He said that they revisited procedures for clinical trials at all hospitals and not just Niloufer Hospital. He said research and clinical trials are common in government and private medical colleges equipped with such facilities.
The Minister, however, warned of serious action if anybody was found to flout rules while conducting such trials in Telangana.
Expressing his happiness, Dr Ravi Kumar, HoD Pediatrics, Niloufer Hospital, who was at the centre of controversy, said that committee's clean chit vindicated his stand that he conducted clinical trials as per rules and after taking required permissions from the ethics committee.
