Praja Front is a democratic compulsion, says Chandrababu Naidu. Do you agree?

Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu’s statement that the People’s Front was a democratic compulsion doesn’t come as a surprise as it is common for political leaders to make such comments during elections. While the statement didn’t go down well with a certain section of people, others felt that People’s Front was indeed a public compulsion to dethrone the TRS. However, several others felt the alliances were nothing but political machinations to grab power.
I agree with Naidu’s statement. Since the TRS supremo K Chandrashekar Rao assumed power in the State, no Minister in his cabinet was allowed to voice their views. The overall control was just in the hands of KCR’s family members namely KT Rama Rao, K Kavitha and Harish Rao, who wielded power at every stage. Even the MLAs and other Ministers were denied appointments to meet the Chief Minister and make him aware of problems faced by people in various constituencies. In my view, no political party did anything for the welfare of people except coming with new luring schemes to attain power. So there is a democratic compulsion in the State to get Praja Front into power. - G Dilpa, private teacher, Kukatpally
I don’t agree with Chandrababu Naidu’s statement that Praja Front was a democratic compulsion. I think, the only intension with which the grand alliance was formed was to defeat K Chandrashekar Rao and the TRS party which they cannot do if they go alone as separate parties. However, at the moment, people have strong faith in the TRS government and are ready to give their complete assistance to KCR to form the government once again. So, definitely it is not the people’s decision as Naidu said. - Katti Srinivas Goud, businessman, Karimnagar
No, I don’t agree with Chandrababu Naidu’s statement. In my view, K Chandrashekar Rao-led TRS government in the last four-and-a-half years took up many welfare activities for people. Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, Shaadi Mubarak, Kanti Velugu etc were some good initiatives launched in the interest of public. I think one more chance should be given to the TRS to fulfill the left over promises. In the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, the former rulers from Congress and Telugu Desam have not done much for Telangana’s development, that’s why a separate State demand was raised and fulfilled later. I totally disagree with Naidu’s statement that the Praja Front was a democratic compulsion. - Ch Mahendar, private employee, Hyderguda
It is purely Chandrababu’s personal opinion. Irrespective of parties, the people of the State, particularly poor, expect a government that provides them work, good wages, shelter and other basic amenities. I request all political leaders to not to make such statements. - Buchaiah, daily labourer, Nalgonda
In general, political leaders project their opinions as public opinions and compulsions. Opposition leaders whenever they form an alliance with other parties during elections simply announce that the decision is a democratic compulsion to save the State or country from dictatorial ruling. - Shivaiah, auto driver, Nalgonda
