Hyderabad: Congress president Rahul Gandhi appointed Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka as the new leader of Congress Legislature Party in Telangana State.
The Congress MLAs, in their meeting held on Thursday, had passed a resolution authorising Rahul Gandhi to decide on the CLP leader. Therefore, Rahul Gandhi has picked Bhatti for the post. With Congress having 19 members in the 119-member Assembly, Bhatti will also get the post of Leader of Opposition.
