Felicity begins at IIIT-H. Felicity, the three-day annual college fest of IIIT-Hyderabad (IIIT-H) kicked off at its Gachibowli campus in Hyderabad here on Friday.

Hyderabad: Felicity, the three-day annual college fest of IIIT-Hyderabad (IIIT-H) kicked off at its Gachibowli campus in Hyderabad here on Friday. The campus was recreated to resemble a village with earthenware, terra cotta on the walls, traditional rangolis and cut-outs of village belles. Enthusiastic students were ready to showcase their talent in the competitions conducted in the college.

The fest attracted students from colleges like GITAM, CBIT, NIFT and others across the state. Students from nearly 71 countries across took part in the online electronic events. Nearly 120 teams, comprising three students in each team, took part in paper presentation competition of which 60 teams will win certificates. Adventures activities like rope walk and games such as basketball and football competition attracted majority of the students.
Students also performed Rajasthani dance, puppet show, magic show and took part in T-shirt design, Mystre E, face painting etc. Participants at Rubik’s Cube amazed the audience. S Venkata Mahesh (5), student of St Joseph’s Public School, Hyderabad, who was recognised as India’s youngest kid who can solve the Rubik’s Cube at IIT-Madras during their fest - Shaastra Cube Open-2014 was also present. He solved the cube in just 14 seconds without even looking at it.
The fest which will conclude on Sunday will see many innovative competitions like Robo Rally where students will display the remote-controlled robots created by them.
