Varasidhi Vinayaka Mahotsava committee releases invitation cards

Tirupati: Varasiddhi Vinayaka Mahotsava Committee on Thursday unveiled its official invitation card for this year’s Vinayaka Chaviti, calling for traffic-free, eco-friendly and spiritually focused celebrations as the festival coincides with Srivari Brahmotsavams at Tirumala.

MLC Cipai Subrahmanyam and former Mayor Sirisha released invitation cards at the committee office, with convener Samanchi Srinivas, committee member Naveen Kumar Reddy and other office-bearers present.

Speakers highlighted that lakhs of pilgrims will visit Tirumala for Brahmotsavams from September 15 and urged all pandal organisers to install Ganesh idols without blocking roads or causing congestion for devotees travelling to the hill shrine. Citing water scarcity due to El Niño effect, they said Municipal Corporation and police are arranging clean, safe immersion facilities at Vinayaka Sagar and other designated ponds. Organisers were asked to cooperate with officials and use only approved immersion points.

The committee appealed for a complete ban on obscene dances and loud DJ music, requesting that only devotional programmes be conducted with discipline.
