The police have arrested BRS MLC Tata Madhu on Tuesday morning at his residence in the New MLA Quarters. Along with him, another MLC, Naveen Kumar Reddy, was taken into custody at his residence in Kokapet.
A case was registered against Tata Madhu under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act following a complaint filed by Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar's OSD, Pollepalli Venkatesham, alleging that Madhu had abused the Speaker using casteist slurs and obscene language.
Following the arrest, Tata Madhu was shifted to the Saifabad Police Station.
