KITS student selected as Quantum Elite

Vinjanampadu (Guntur district): Ganta Chaitra Deepika, third-year B Tech student of KKR and KSR Institute of Technology and Sciences (KITS), Vinjanampadu, has been selected among the 10 Quantum Elite participants in WISER Global Summer Programme 2026.

The programme, organised under the initiative of the State government with the guidance of Quantum Foundation, received 64,436 registrations from 33 countries. Following a multi-stage selection process, 3,117 participants advanced to the next stage and 108 students were shortlisted, from whom 10 were finally selected as Quantum Elite.

The nine-month programme provided participants with exposure to quantum algorithms, practical learning, industry challenges and mentorship. As part of the programme, Chaitra Deepika worked on a project titled ‘Quantum Flow: Intelligent Order Optimisation’, focusing on the use of quantum computing to address order optimisation challenges.

KITS Chairman Dr Koyi Subba Rao and Secretary Koyi Sekhar congratulated Chaitra Deepika on her achievement and said the recognition reflected the institution’s focus on emerging technologies. They said KITS would continue to encourage students to pursue innovative projects and participate in national and international programmes.

Principal Dr P Babu, Academic Director Dr K Haribabu, CSE HoD Professor Ramesh, faculty members and students also congratulated her.
