Replying to the various articles appearing in a section of the media for the past two days in respect of annual tuition fee of students to be admitted in the Block Period 2019-2022 in Engineering Courses, MBA, MCA of CBIT, Kokapet (V) and MGIT, Kokapet (V).
Hyderabad: Replying to the various articles appearing in a section of the media for the past two days in respect of annual tuition fee of students to be admitted in the Block Period 2019-2022 in Engineering Courses, MBA, MCA of CBIT, Kokapet (V) and MGIT, Kokapet (V). The High Court had fixed the annual tuition fee of Rs. 2,00,000 in CBIT and Rs. 1,60,000 in MGIT for the Students admitted in the previous Block Period 2016-2019 in respect of B.E./ B.Tech Courses.
Both CBIT and MGIT in response to directions of Telangana State Fee Regulatory Committee (TSFRC) had submitted the details of expenditure towards recurring expenditure, inflation and escalation, furtherance of Education, Infrastructure expenditure etc., in order that TSFRC fix the annual tuition fee in the Block Period 2019-2022, proposing a Fee of Rs. 3,19,784 in CBIT and Rs. 2,28,148 in MGIT respectively for B.E./ B.Tech Courses, but the TSFRC to date has not called for a hearing on the issue and has not fixed the Annual Tuition Fee by giving reasons thereof.
Since the counselling has been announced and with a view to enable the students to select the College of their choice by putting the Students at notice on the Annual Tuition Fee payable, CBIT and MGIT have addressed Letters to the Secretary, Higher Education (TE); Commissioner for Technical Education; Chairman, TSCHE and Convenor TS-EAMCET 2019 requesting that the Convenor TS-EAMCET 2019 put up on its website that the annual tuition fee in Engineering courses in the Block Period 2019 to 2022 for CBIT and MGIT to be Rs.2,20,000/- and Rs. 1,70,000/- respectively in order to just be able to pay UGC Scales to its Teaching Staff and State PRC Scales to its Non-Teaching Staff and to meet the bare minimum expenditure in running the Institutes.
