To clear all the storeroom stocked expired food materials
Tirupati: TTD vigilance officials warned the hoteliers and fast food centres owners in hill shrine Tirumala for clearing the expired food grains and other materials which were leftover in storerooms after lockdown.
It may be noted that for the last 72 days all shops were closed in hill town due to COVID-19 threat. According to information more than 300 above small and big hotels, restaurants and fast food centres were closed in Tirumala from March 22 as part of nationwide lockdown. Hotels and fast food shops owners had kept the leftover food materials like atta, rice, oils, and other raw materials in their storerooms.
In view of devotees health safety, TTD vigilance authorities issued a warning to all the food business vendors in hills shrine that no one can use the expired food materials for food preparation in future when the Srivari Darshan will be resumed.
To avoid food adulteration by using expired food materials we have issued a strong warning to all the hotels and fast food centres owners to clear all the old food material stock which was kept in store rooms for the last two months, said TTD Tirumala VGO Manohar. "As part of readiness to resume the darshan to devotees in Tirumala shortly we took this step in view of devotees health protection", He added.
