Smart port Services introduced in AP

Amaravati: Government has issued guidelines for integration of all ports with Single Desk Portal and implementation of EoDB in Smart port services for bringing more transparency, accountability and corruption-free environment.

It is to bring out that for the first time the Ports Department would be part of implementing Ease of Doing Business Reforms in trade and export promotion in ports, informed Rajat Bhargav, Principal Secretary, Ports department in a statement on Friday.

Thus the port-related services will be brought under online through Smart port, tracked through SDP and to be covered under PSDGA. With this AP has become the first State to bring port-related services into Ease of Doing Business, the officials explained.

The government introduced online services for requesting entry of Vessel into Indian waters, furnishing cargo declaration, requesting berthing or bearing number, entry certificate of the vessel, health certificate, furnish import or export parameters and others.
